This space is my notebook as I explore the world of cybersecurity. I’m learning step by step — networking, web security, TryHackMe rooms, HackTheBox labs, concepts I break and rebuild in my head, and the mistakes I make along the way.

I’m keeping this blog anonymous because the goal isn’t to talk about who I am. The goal is to document what I’m learning, explain complicated things in simple language, and create a place where beginners can follow along without feeling overwhelmed.

Everything here is part of my personal journey: notes, explanations, breakthroughs, small experiments, and thoughts as I move deeper into security. If any of it helps someone else starting from zero, that’s a bonus.

This blog will grow as I grow — one concept, one write-up, and one new understanding at a time.

I was on Hack The Box Academy, happily reading along when the first word of the module popped up: understanding . Good. Next word: code . Still good. Then the third word appeared: deobfuscation . There is no single device or technology that can solve all the security needs of an organization on its own. A secure network is built by choosing the right tools for the right purpose. This blog covers some of the basic devices and technologies used in the field of network security. Security Appliances Security appliances can be physical devices like routers, or software tools running on those devices.
